Supplies you can get on AdoptAClassroom.org (with guidance from teacher influencers!)

AdoptAClassroom.org provides PreK-12 teachers at public, private, and charter schools nationwide with donations to purchase school supplies. When teachers receive a donation on AdoptAClassroom.org, they can spend the funds on the classroom materials they need, when they need them.

During Teacher Appreciation Week, several teacher influencers on TikTok and Instagram shared the items they purchased with their AdoptAClassroom.org donations. Each teacher purchased something different for their classroom through our online marketplace, which includes 25+ vendors that teachers can shop through.

We hope these suggestions inspire some ideas on what to ask for on your AdoptAClassroom.org classroom page. If you need tools and materials for your classroom, register on AdoptAClassroom.org.

Have you recently received a donation from a donor or corporate sponsor but are feeling overwhelmed on where to start? These videos from teacher influencers will leave you feeling inspired to log in and start spending!

This is what teacher influencers spent their AdoptAClassroom.org donation on:

1. Flexible Seating

Kyle Cohen is a fourth grade teacher in Ohio and is a teacher influencer on Instagram and TikTok. For his classroom, he purchased a couch for his students to sit on.

Flexible seating is a great way to bring new life to your classroom, and help students of all learning styles collaborate and engage in the lesson plan.

AdoptAClassroom.org offers a wide variety of flexible seating for students at all grade levels. You can get wobble stools, wobble cushions, and couches through our online marketplace.

2. Classroom Storage Solutions

Fletcher Nelson is a third grade teacher in Minnesota and a TikTok teacher influencer. In his video, he shared that he wants students to “be comfortable and find books they enjoy.”

To accomplish that goal, he purchased a book rack for his classroom, so that new books can be displayed, rather than hidden away on the shelves of his classroom library.

3. Age-appropriate Classroom Games

Vera Ahiyya is an author, Instagram teacher influencer, and Kindergarten educator in New York. Through AdoptAClassroom.org, she purchased several games and toys to encourage collaboration among her students and improve their hand-eye coordination.

4. Fidget Toys

Josh Monroe is a fourth grade teacher in Nebraska and a teacher influencer on TikTok and Instagram. With his AdoptAClassroom.org donation, Mr. Monroe bolstered his fidget toy collection.

Fidget toys became popular in the last few years. They are helpful for fidgeting students because they give them something to do with their hands so they can focus on the lesson. Many teachers have containers of different kinds of fidgets so students can select one that feels best to them.

These are just a few of the thousands of classroom supplies you can get through AdoptAClassroom.org’s online marketplace. We hope it’s inspired you to start shopping or to make some updates to your classroom page.
