Funding Need: Arts & Music

6th Grade

La Puente, CA

For the first time EVER in the history of our school, we have an actual ART class!  Students are SO excited to come to class.  In fact, what was supposed to be a small elective was filled to beyond capacity…I had to find more desks, chairs, and figure out how to squeeze them into the classroom.  Then, as not every student can take art as an elective, I incorporate and integrate art into the other subjects that I teach. My passion is teaching students to love reading, writing, and history, while learning to creatively express themselves.  I integrate these together as much as possible. After spending a year in my classroom, my students come to realize that learning is not dry, boring exercise but something that is exciting, interesting, and has meaning. Learn more >

Funding Need: Literacy

3rd Grade

Milwaukee, WI

My students love to read.  They need classroom books and references. We strive every day to become better, stronger readers. My third graders love to see all the books that come into our library, but it is hard for them to read them right away as they are being checked out by other students or on hold. With donations to our classroom my students will be able to be stronger learners! Learn more >

All Middle School

Alamo, NV

We live in a rural county that can’t meet all of the demands on its limited budget to find funding that will enhance the education of our students. With the move toward Common Core standards and its emphasis of technology and comprehension, our students are falling behind in these important areas. With your donation, we will be able to provide some computer technology to help assist the students become familiarized with the requirements of the Common Core. Learn more >
